Samsung at CTIA: Samsung Galaxy S WiFi, Samsung Galaxy S II, Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10

Right after Samsung’s press event on the first day of CTIA, where they unveiled the two new Samsung Galaxy Tabs, the Samsung booth became flooded with people wanting to play with the new tablets. Besides that though, Samsung had plenty of other devices for you to play with including their new iPod Touch competitors, the Samsung Galaxy S Wifi 5.0 and 4.0, and their new Samsung Galaxy S II. Check out the video above for all the devices we got to play with at the Samsung booth. Anyone excited about any of these? PS: Amazon send us a link […]

LG at CTIA: The Quantum, Revolution, G2X, and Optimus 3D

LG had an elaborate booth at CTIA. Large TV’s that looked like cell phones rotated around on their own pedestals that were arched around a small stage like something from some futuristic version of Stonehenge. There was definitely no shortage of demo phones, either. There were maybe 12 or so of each device on display (no waiting to play with phones here). But with all this work put in to the booth, did the products live up to their venue? Take a look at the video above summarizing all the latest devices they had on display. What do you

Kyocera Echo and Swype at CTIA 2011: Echo Demo and Swype’s New Features

Kyocera was at CTIA with a booth, but there was only one device at that booth; the Echo. The Echo is a dual touchscreen device in where the two touchscreens work together as one large touchscreen (kind of like how you can have two monitors for your desktop computer). While there we ran into some Swype representatives who were kind enough to do a quick demo of the Echo for us as well as show us some new features for Swype. Take a look at the video above and let us know what you think below in the comments.

HTC at CTIA 2011: Quick Runthrough of All Their New Devices, Including the HTC Evo 3D & HTC Flyer

HTC didn’t have too many new devices to showcase at CTIA but the ones they did were pretty outstanding. The Evo 3D and the HTC Flyer (Evo View) are the first of these outstanding devices that come to mind. The Evo 3D’s parallax barrier technology worked quite well to show a preloaded 3D movie on the device without the need for glasses and the HTC Flyer, aka Evo View, which I wasn’t too excited about at first, did manage to impress me with it’s unique capacitive stylus interface that allowed you to grab a screenshot of anything on the

Qualcomm at CTIA 2011: Dual Core Processors, Developer Tools, and App Showcases

One of the first booths at CTIA I saw was Qualcomm. Now it wasn’t because they were close to the entrance or anything like that, but because they’re booth was so large and elaborate that one could see it from almost anywhere on the show floor. I figured if they went through that much trouble, I should probably head over and see what it was all about. Take a look at the video above for a taste of what Qualcomm had to show. I have to say I’m impressed by the quality of the games I saw as well as

T-Mobile HSPA+ 42Mbps Data Stick Speed Test

At the T-Mobile booth at CTIA, T-Mobile told us they had a brand new data stick that runs on their newly launched 42mbps. So of course, first thing we asked was, “Can we do a speed test?” To which T-Mobile happily replied, “Of course!”. Check out the video above for the speed test in action inside the Conference Center at CTIA 2011 in Orlando. As you can see from the video above, the new Rocket 3.0, made by LTE, is well deserving of it’s name. 22mbps downlink definitely blows any Verizon LTE speedtest I’ve ever seen out of the
