How to Unroot the Window N70S

Maybe you have had enough fun with your rooted Window N70S? Maybe you want to start everything over by getting your device back to stock? This guide should help you do that. Unrooting flashes the stock firmware on your N70S and lets you enjoy the Android experience you had when you purchased the device. So without further ado, here’s how you can do that:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Your device should have at least 70% of battery life left.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the first post)

2. RK Batch Tool (Download link’s given in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Window N70S:

1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the RK Batch Tool archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn OFF your device.

4. Press and hold the Volume UP button and plug your device in to your PC via USB cable at the same time.

5. Double-click on the RK Batch Tool executable and it’ll open.

6. In the tool, browse to the stock ROM you have downloaded on your Desktop and select it for flashing.

7. Hit Restore and it should start flashing the firmware on your device.

8. Once the firmware’s been flashed, reboot your device.

9. You’re done!

Great! Your device’s been successfully unrooted and is back to stock firmware!
