How to Unroot the LG Optimus F6 (T-Mobile)

Maybe you’ve messed-up with your LG Optimus F6? Maybe you want to unroot it for some other reasons? Either way, this guide should help. Unrooting your device is a good idea when you’re going to visit the service center for any warranty reasons. Unrooting reinstates your warranty and sends your device back to stock. Here’s how you can unroot your LG Optimus F6 (T-Mobile) smartphone:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.

2. Your device should have at least 70% of battery life left.

3. This only works on Windows based PCs.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. FlashTool (Download link’s given in the first post)

2. Stock ROM (Download link’s given in the first post, in step-27)

III. Unrooting the LG Optimus F6 (T-Mobile):

1. Download and place both the archives onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from both the archives over to your Desktop.

3. Pull the battery out of your device and put it back in after a couple of seconds. Do NOT turn ON your device.

4. Hold down Volume UP button and plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Your device should now be in Download mode.

6. Double-click on the Windows Enabler.exe that you extracted from the archive.

7. Three-windows icon should appear near your clock on your PC (bottom-right corner).

8. Double-click on it and it’ll be ON.

9. Now right-click on UpTestEX.exe that you extracted from the archive and select Properties.

10. Navigate to the Compatibility tab.

11. Checkmark the box that says Run this program in compatibility mode for: and choose Windows XP (Service Pack 3) from the dropdown menu.

12. Checkmark the box that says Run this program as an administrator.

13. Hit Apply and then hit OK.

14. Launch the UpTestEX by double-clicking on its file.

15. In the tool that opens, select 3GQCT from the Select Type dropdown menu.

16. Select CS_EMERGENCY from the PhoneMode dropdown menu.

17. Click Select kdz file and choose the kdz file you extracted from the Stock ROM archive.

18. Hit Normal web upgrade test button in the tool.

19. A new window will appear, hit the Upgrade Start button.

20. Choose Different Country from the Country dropdown menu.

21. Choose English under languages.

22. Hit OK.

23. It should start flashing the stock ROM on your device, so be patient and wait till it finishes flashing the ROM.

24. Once the ROM has been flashed, reboot your device.

25. You’re now unrooted!

Excellent! Your device’s been successfully unrooted and restored to the stock firmware. Your warranty’s been reinstated so you can enjoy the perks your manufacturer has to offer you!
