This is Airdrop for Android

There are two big features that every iOS user mentions when they’re referring to some of the ways iOS is better than Android: iMessage and Airdrop. While I don’t have a solution for iMessage on Android, I think I might have found a decent Airdrop for Android equivalent. Let me show you. Not too long ago Google released an app for Android that was meant to help you organize the files on your phone, help you optimize storage, etc. but it happens to have a feature in it that lets you transfer files between two Android phones and it is

Charge Phone Off

Does Turning Off Your Phone Make It Charge Faster?

So this video is a bit of a myth-busting episode, I suppose. You see, there are little things in the tech world that we all say to each other and assume are true but I feel like should actually be tested and proved right or wrong. One such thing and what I want to test today is the claim I’ve heard over and over that if you turn off your phone while it is charging, it’ll charge faster. So I grabbed an Android and an iOS phone (P30 Pro and XS Max to be specific) and charged them both for

Backup iPhone Locally Using These

How to Back Up Your iPhone Locally While You Sleep

We’ve all been there. Something happens to your iPhone and it’s then that you realize the last time you backed it up was over 6 months ago–all those photos are gone. There is a way to avoid this, of course, and that’s by doing daily backups, you can do these through iCloud wirelessly automatically which is great, but what if you want to back them up to somewhere locally. Say on a hard drive that only you can access and isn’t stored on the web? Is there a way to make this happen automatically without having to think about it?

Oh, the forgotten Hauwei Watch GT. When it came out back in Oct, all the major tech publications and tech YouTubers did a quick hands-on and then… never talked about it again. Best Antivirus Software in 2018?

Someone recently asked me about the best antivirus software in 2018, and honestly, I wasn’t quite sure which one to recommend–there are a lot of them out there. Turns out though, there is one that seems to be at the top of each list according to a ton of sources. So I decided, I’d check it out myself and run some tests and see how it does. From PCMag to TechAdvisor, to TechRadar, there seems to be one antivirus program that is mentioned at the top of every list of the best antivirus software: Bitdefender. Looking into it, it even

Best Insoles

The Best Insoles Come from an App?

Dr. Scholl’s recently reached out and asked me to check out their new custom insoles and their new app (more on how those two things are related shortly). Since I live in NYC and walk a ton, I’m always on the lookout for the best insoles actually, so I said, “Sure.” Now, being the nerd that I am, I wanted to actually test the insoles and see how good they are, the ease of the ordering process, value for money, etc. So, really fast, we need to first come up with some criteria for what makes insoles the best insoles.
