How to Root the Huawei Ascend D2

So you bought yourself a Huawei Ascend D2 and you want to root it to get access to root-only apps? No problem, this guide shows exactly how you can do that. Having root-access on an Android device has a number of advantages, including the ability to install root-only apps and flashing custom ROMs. Here’s how you can go about rooting your Huawei Ascend D2:

I. Before You Begin:

1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.

2. You should have ADB drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, head to our procedure for the same and get the drivers installed.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. eroot (Download link’s available in the first post)

III. Rooting the Huawei Ascend D2:

1. Place the eroot archive you just downloaded onto your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by going to Menu>>Settings>>Developer options>>USB debugging.

4. Plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Double-click on the eroot executable and it’ll open.

6. Click Root button in the tool and it’ll begin rooting your device.

7. You should now be rooted!
