The Asus Memo Pad FHD 10 is one of the devices that the devs have been able to gain root-access on. If you’ve this device and are looking to root it, then the guide below is all you need. Once rooted, you’ll have a number of privileges to enjoy that unrooted users usually don’t get to enjoy. Here’s how:
I. Before You Begin:
1. This will void the warranty of your device. However, you can reinstate the warranty by unrooting your device if there’s any unrooting procedure available.
2. This only works for the firmware 4.6.2.
3. You should have Intel drivers installed on your PC. If you don’t, go grab them from here.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Rooted System Image (Download link’s available in the ninth post, in step-4)
2. Fastboot
III. Rooting the Asus Memo Pad FHD 10:
1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.
2. Extract files from Fastboot archive over to your Desktop.
3. Turn OFF your device.
4. Reboot your device into Download mode. To do so, simply hold down the Volume UP+Power buttons together.
5. Once in Download mode, plug in your device to your PC using the USB cable.
6. Launch a Command Prompt Window on your Desktop. To do that, just hold down the Shift button and right-click anywhere on your screen and select Open command window here.
7. Type in following command into the Command Prompt Window:
fastboot flash system system_4_6_2_root.img.gz
8. Once it’s done, reboot your device.
9. Now head over to the Google Play and download and install the Superuser app on your device.
10. You’re now fully rooted!
Awesome! You’ve successfully rooted your device and you should now be able to install any root-only app on your device without any issues!
