HTC Hero Coming to Sprint on October 11th?

So the HTC Hero has been rumored to arrive on Sprint here in the US at some point. But a gentleman over at XDA-Developers has actually released a photo with some “proof”. While this image could be faked, we believe it might be somewhat credible based on some of the other phones that we have heard about that are also on the list. Take it with a grain of salt as with all rumors, but you can’t help get a little excited if you have Sprint can you?

So those that have been waiting for the Touch Pro2 to finally come overseas, the wait is over… well, almost. In a little over 2 weeks, T-Mobile is launching the Touch Pro2. Scheduled release date according to T-Mobile reps, is August 12th. We have actually had a European Touch Pro2 here in the office for maybe 2 months already and think it is the best Windows Mobile device out so far. We have yet to get our hands on a T-Mobile branded version to do a quick comparison, but rumors have it that the specs will be the same only

Android Donut Sneak Peek

So Google has finally released the code for Android Donut (which also turns out is NOT 2.0 as originally thought, but a version somewhere between 1.5 and 2.0). And reported new features are as follows: System wide MultiTouch (conflicting reports on whether this is true or not so time will finally tell). Universal Search Text to Speech Automated Backups New Camera App (the original is horrible, so thank god) and Better Performance Also one other noticeable feature that will not make any current Android owners excited, but will get some Sprint/Verizon users excited; CDMA Support Built In to the OS.

Cheapest Android device ever… HTC Click

So another HTC Android device has become official, the HTC Click. Now the specs aren’t anything amazing, but the price tag is. According to a Vietnamese forum, the phone should be selling unlocked for 5 to 6 million dong, which equates to about $280-$336 with no contract whatsoever. If this phone makes its way over here to the States, we could see if popping up for free on a 2 year contract on any of the US carriers. This could mean Android for a whole new demographic… great news for that demographic and for developers looking to broaden their reach with

In January, Boy Genius Report leaked HTC’s full 2009 line up online. Most of the devices we ones we already knew about, but there were a few in particular that caught our eye. One of those was the HTC Firestone. Well the HTC Firestone seems to also be going by another name these days, (although we didn’t realize they were the same device until now), the HTC Leo. And well the HTC Leo/Firestone’s supposed specs were just leaked a few days ago. Here you are: Quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity Dual-band HSDPA connectivity (900/2100 MHz) 4.3-inch WVGA (480 x 800) capacitive touchscreen

Sony Rachael Gets an Official Name… Xperia X3

So we reported on Sony’s first Android handset, coded named the Rachael, earlier this month. We assumed, due to the lack of any further information, that this sexy new handset was not going to be available for quite a while. Well, turns out that a certain retailer in the UK actually put the device up on their site for pre-order! That leads us to believe that it is actually coming out a lot sooner than we expected. They also gave it a name, the Sony Ericsson Xperia X3. The site also confirms the majority of the specs we released in
