Windows Mobile 7 Info

So some serious Windows Mobile 7 news was reported by WMExperts today. They are saying that have intel on two new Windows Mobile 7 phones due out this year and some of the concepts behind Windows Mobile 7 as well. Curious? Me too. First it seems that Windows Mobile 7 will have to versions; Business and Media edition. The first will be a more basic version of the OS meant for other companies to put their own UIs on top of (HTC Sense anyone?) and has slightly lower minimum specs required. The second is based around media (duh) and has […]

Motorola MOTOROI Will Be Launched Worldwide in March

The Motoroi is a distant cousin to the Motorola Droid. It has the same size screen (3.7″), runs the same Android 2.0 OS, same processor, same RAM etc. The difference is that there is no keyboard (making it also 20 grams lighter), it gains 720p recording, an 8.0MP camera (instead of a 5.0mp), built in HDMI port, and TV broadcasting (the broadcasting is only Korean standard and highly unlikely will work or be included in a US version). This phone was originally scheduled for a Korean only launch but according to PhoneScoop, it will be making a world debut this

Sony Xperia X10 will Be Available in the UK Next Month

So the Sony Xperia X10 (the next snapdragon Android device) is arriving in the UK next month on February 19th. And in Sony fashion, it’s ridiculously priced; the Euro version goes for 885 USD. I’d assume the US version will be a little bit less (my guess is closer to $700-$800), but still no release date for the States. So between the Nexus One and the X10, which would you rather go for? And then knowing that someone will, in all likelihood, rip the Timescape UI off the Sony and put it on other phones once it is released…. hmmm

Windows Mobile 7 Debuting in February?

According to Robbie Bach, Microsoft’s President of Entertainment and Device Devision, Microsoft will be demoing Windows Mobile 7 at the Mobile World Congress in Mid-February. He also states that Windows Mobile 7 is NOT just an evolutionary release to Windows Mobile 6.5, but that it is much more. Windows Mobile 7 is going to be a big deal for the future of Windows Mobile, it could make or break the trailing OS. What I think (again this is my personal speculation) Microsoft will do is this: drop legacy support (won’t support Windows Mobile 6 or below apps, and possibly not
