How to Unroot the ZTE Racer

Need to send in your device for warranty reasons? Make sure you unroot your device before sending it in as unrooting will reinstate the warranty of your device saving you from some unexpected questions at the service center. Here’s how you can go about unrooting your ZTE Racer smartphone:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure might not work for you.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. Unlock Root (Download link’s available in the first post)

III. Unrooting the ZTE Racer:

1. Download and place the Unlock Root tool on your Desktop.

2. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

3. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.

4. Double-click on the Unlock Root executable file and it should launch.

5. Click on Unroot button in the tool and it’ll begin unrooting your device.

6. You should have your device unrooted within a couple of minutes.

7. You’re done!

Great! Your device’s been successfully unrooted and you can now take it to the service center!
