How to Unroot the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G (SGH-T859)
Have a rooted T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G tablet and you want to send it in for warranty reasons? No problem, do that but first make sure your device’s unrooted. If you’re rooted, then the service center won’t accept your device because your warranty’s been voided. Unrooting will reinstate the warranty of your device and get your device back to stock firmware. Here’s how:
I. Before You Begin:
1. You should have rooted your device using the procedure given here.
2. Make sure your device has at least 70% of battery life left.
II. Downloading Required Files:
1. Stock Firmware (Download the appropriate firmware for your device)
2. Odin
III. Unrooting the T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 4G (SGH-T859):
1. Download and place both the files onto your Desktop.
2. Unzip files from both the archives over to your Desktop.
3. Double-click on the Odin executable file and it’ll launch.
4. Click on PDA and select the Stock Firmware file you just extracted from the Stock Firmware archive.
5. Make sure to uncheck the Repartition box in the Odin if it’s already checked.
6. Turn OFF your device.
7. Turn it back on by holding down Volume DOWN+Power buttons together.
8. Press the Volume UP button and you should enter the Download mode.
9. Plug in your device to your PC via USB cable.
10. Hit Start in the Odin and it’ll start flashing the stock firmware on your device.
11. Since you’re flashing an entire firmware, it’ll take some good time to finish.
12. Once the firmware’s been flashed, reboot your device.
13. And you’re all done!
Awesome! Your device’s been successfully unrooted and is back to the stock firmware.
