How to Unroot the Dell Venue

Maybe you’ve messed up with your Dell Venue? Maybe you want to send it in for warranty reasons? Either way, this guide should help. Unrooting your Dell Venue will reinstate the warranty and you’ll be able to take your device to the service center without any issues. Here’s how you can unroot your Dell Venue:

I. Before You Begin:

1. You must have rooted your device using the procedure given here. If you used any other method to root your device, this procedure may or may not work for you.

2. This works on Windows based PCs only.

II. Downloading Required Files:

1. SuperOneClick (It’s attached in the first post)

III. Unrooting the Dell Venue:

1. Download and place the SuperOneClick archive on your Desktop.

2. Extract files from the archive over to your Desktop.

3. Turn ON the USB debugging option on your device by heading to Menu>>Settings>>Applications>>Development>>USB debugging.

4. Connect your device to your PC using the USB cable.

5. Double-click on the SuperOneClick executable file and it should launch.

6. Hit Unroot button in the app and it’ll begin unrooting your device.

7. You should be unrooted within a couple of minutes.

8. You’re done!

Excellent! Your device has been successfully unrooted and is now all ready to be taken to the service center!
