The single office building on the new campus will look “a little like a spaceship landed,” Steve Jobs announced during a council meeting on Tuesday. Jobs continued to explain that Apple will maintain their existing headquarters located in Cupertino, California, but will utilize the new space to accommodate their growing employee force. Quality Time with iOS 5: Some of the New Features that Weren’t Mentioned at WWDC

After spending some quality time with the new iOS 5, I’d have to remark it’s the most stable beta iOS Apple has yet to release. It looks like Apple took their user’s feedback seriously and took note of the key features that other mobile operating platforms offered rolling it all up into iOS 5. The first thing I was drawn to was the notification center. Before, users couldn’t do anything inside their phone without being annoyed by a pesky notification. You can now customize how and what you want to be notified by. You can select the type of alert, the number of messages, and

Motorola Xoom Blazes Speeds at 1.7GHz

Just when you were getting used to the idea that that the Motorola Xoom was breaking speeds of 1.504GHz, our reliable friends at XDA-developers introduced an updated Tiamat kernel capable of 1.7GHz. Could this actually be reality? Testimonies straight from XDA developers forums suggest that once you turn over the switch on your Tegra 2 it will most likely reboot regrettably. However, if you’re part of the serendipitous ones to experience this benchmark status, you can look forward to 70 MFLOPS in Linpack, 1480ms runs in SunSpider, and Quadrant scores reaching a sleek 5,000. XDA-delevopers disclaim while the 1.7GHz has been rigourously tested, safe does not imply stable. To read more on
