Today marks the first day Apple will begin to sell unlocked iPhone 4 devices in the U.S. The 16GB will cost you $649 while the 32GB is being sold for $749, and both devices are being offered unlocked in either black or white. Factory Unlocked iPhones Coming to Apple Stores on Wednesday?

We never thought we would see this day come, where Apple themselves would actually release factory unlocked iPhone 4 models in the US. Speculation continues to grow throughout Apple enthusiasts only to gain momentum when well known iOS developer Chronic tweeted the same sentiment. Samsung Galaxy S II Ready for AT&T

While the Samsung Galaxy S II was already a seductive looking Android device it appears it’s now moving over to AT&T’s lineup. The Samsung Singapore division’s Facebook page published a series of corporate pictures of the device, including the one displayed showing the device sitting pretty comfortable in its “Samsung Galaxy S II Desktop Dock”. Apple’s iCloud Already Facing Litigation

Apple’s iCloud has barely been around long enough for the general public to get used to the technology before it’s facing a lawsuit. While this is not the first time Apple has had to deal with litigation, they will now have to contend with Arizona based company iCloud Communications. A lawsuit was filed yesterday in an Arizona District Court. The Arizona company, iCloud Communications appears to be a VoIP service and equipment provider since 2005. Apple Confirms Verizon iPad Recall

Apple confirmed a recent recall of a small number of Verizon iPad 2 models. This statement following a host of recall rumors springing up among many Apple related blogs throughout the week. It appears a number of  iPad 2 models were shipped accidently with identical MEIDs. A MEID is known as the device’s Mobile Electronic Identifiers. This duplicate MEID  issue causing specific problems for Verizon who depends on the MEIDs to activate their devices for each unique user. FCC Receives AT&T Public Statement for T-Mobile Merger

AT&T filed an official statement with the Federal Communications Commissions on Friday supporting its $39 Billion acquisition of T-Mobile USA. The public statement is founded on the basis that the deal will result in strong economic growth without limiting industry innovation. AT&T stated “nothing about the combination of AT&T and T-Mobile USA could possibly keep Sprint or any other provider from acting on the same incentives it has today to keep innovating in this unusually dynamic ecosystem”. ‘Related People’ Part of iOS 5 Update

Just surfacing with the influx of feedback related to the iOS 5 update is the interesting ‘Related People’ field. Even though this feature has been integrated in the Mac OS for quite some time now, it will now be available to iPhone users with iOS 5. A user can activate this field as an option when adding or editing a contact card. The ‘Related People’ field is disabled by default, so to add it, just tap the Add Field option within the edit contact interface. Microsoft Extends Windows Phone Mapping to Android App Developers

RIM Announces BlackBerry PlayBook Launch to 16 Countries

Research In Motion announced today the global roll out of its BlackBerry PlayBook  for 16 countries over the next four weeks. The announcement follows a swirl of recent setbacks for RIM as they had hoped their PlayBook  tablet would be a fighting contender to Apple’s successful iPad. Virgin Mobile Adds New Motorola Triumph for Summer Release

With the pre-paid cell phone industry robustly steaming ahead, Motorola announced today that they would join Virgin Mobile with a new device, the Motorola Triumph. The Triumph appears to be extremely close in build to the Motorola Droid but slimmer and without the slide out keyboard.
