Why 8K is NOT Pointless

There is no shortage of people out there talking about how dumb 8K is. And, honestly, having seen 8K TVs next to 4K ones many, many times, I can tell you there is a difference. Frankly, they’re using measurements and charts that don’t show the entire picture and after going down a very deep rabbit hole of scientific studies I think I can explain what’s missing and why 8K is not pointless. So in this episode of Decodr, my explainer series here on the channel, let’s talk about that. Firstly, I partnered with MediaTek to do this video as they

Why This Was One of the Most Important Phones in History

You might not know it but that is the sound of one of the most important, albeit underrated, phones in history. In this Decodr episode, my explainer series here on the channel, let me explain what I mean. This is the Sidekick 3, the third generation of the iconic device and probably the apex of the Sidekick line (and the only one I could find on eBay that worked if I’m honest). Now, when the original version launched back in 2002 under the brand name Sidekick, the top selling phone in the world that year was this, the Nokia 6100.

Razer updates their laptops a lot honestly. What is LiDAR? (& Why is It on Apple Devices All of a Sudden)

If you’ve seen some of Apple’s new commercials around the iPad Pro, you’ve undoubtedly seen them touting their new LiDAR sensor on it and maybe you wondered, just for a sec: what is LiDAR? Well, in this Decodr episode, my explainer series here on the channel, let’s talk about this clever little measurement tool. What is LiDAR? The TCL 10 Pro is undoubtedly a pretty phone (and even more so considering the fact it’s $450). The question on everyone’s mind though is whether the camera is any good though? Play Store on a Chromebook

How to Enable the Play Store & Fingerprint Sensor on a Chromebook Using G Suite

If you happen to be using a G Suite account on your Chromebook, you might notice some features are glaringly missing when you first start it up. Namely, we’re missing the Play Store to download Android apps and if your Chromebook has a fingerprint sensor, you’ll notice you were never asked to set it up. Unfortunately, searching around the settings doesn’t help either as none of these options are where every other article on the internet tells you they are (can we tell I’ve gone through all this and am slightly annoyed at this point?). Well, it turns out that
