Easiest way to do this is to simply call your provider and ask for them. HTC Hero vs Sprint Hero vs Droid Eris

Over at EngadgetMobile, they did a nice little comparison of the GSM unlocked version, the Sprint CDMA version, and the Verizon CDMA version (Droid Eris) of the HTC Hero. They point out a bunch of differences that are good to note (my personal favorite as always is the unlocked version, but no 3G can be a huge problem for most, understandably). So check their comparison out if you were debating about which you wanted to get. Source

Motorola Droid Online Ordering Issue

So our friends over at BBLeaks.com apparently got word that Verizon’s online ordering system made a boo boo. All of you who ordered your Droid on Friday before noon and expected the phone to be delivered today, well, it won’t be. The Saturday Overnight Delivery was incorrectly written, it was supposed to say Standard Overnight Delivery, which means you’ll be getting your phone on Monday instead. Not too horrible (although days can feel like years when waiting for your new toy, I know), but the big issue comes when people have work all weekday and no one to sign for

HTC Touch HD2 on Sale in Europe, Confirmed to Come to US in 2010

So today the HTC Touch HD2 goes on sale in Europe and Asia (which means you can import it if you don’t care too much about 3G). But the real interesting news is that HTC has confirmed (again?) that the HD2 will be coming to a major US carrier in 2010. There was a rumor of T-Mobile USA getting it, but then again with all this crazy Verizon smartphone push and the fact that Verizon says there are phones we haven’t seen yet (that generally doesn’t apply to those of us familiar with European phones mind you), this could be

Sony Xperia X10 Officially Announced, With Hands On Video

Today, Sony officially announced their first Android device and Engadget managed to get a hold of one and do a quick hands. And this phone is seriously the nicest Android device I have seen yet. The new UI is the first UI for Android I’ve seen that can compete with the HTC Hero interface, the first 1Ghz Snapdragon processor in an Android device, huge 4″ OLED screen with nice resolution (480×854), nice 8.1MP camera with an LED flash, and by the way a T-Mobile 3G and AT&T 3G version will BOTH be available. Making this the second high end unlocked

HTC Passion to be Released On Black Friday?

They said that it and the Curve2 will compete for the Black Friday launch date, whichever is ready first will release then and the other will be released mid-December. Now, we have to just see if it will look anything like the original pictures and what it’ll have on the inside 🙂 You guys holding off on the Droid, now? Source

Acer Liquid Snapdragon to Be Set to 768mhz instead of 1Ghz? We Can Fix That.

So EngadgetMobile announced that the Liquid Android phone from Acer will have a 1Ghz snapdragon processor but that it will only be clocked to 768mhz. What gives, right? Well, regardless of the reasoning, I wouldn’t be too concerned. So long as the processor is indeed a 1Ghz Snapdragon just underclocked, we can easily fix that. Once we have root access on the thing (a How To will be on our site soon as it is rooted, of course), we can easily use one of the many overclocking programs floating in the Market for root users to put it back where
