Over at EngadgetMobile, they did a nice little comparison of the GSM unlocked version, the Sprint CDMA version, and the Verizon CDMA version (Droid Eris) of the HTC Hero. They point out a bunch of differences that are good to note (my personal favorite as always is the unlocked version, but no 3G can be a huge problem for most, understandably). So our friends over at BBLeaks.com apparently got word that Verizon’s online ordering system made a boo boo. All of you who ordered your Droid on Friday before noon and expected the phone to be delivered today, well, it won’t be. The Saturday Overnight Delivery was incorrectly written, it was supposed to say Standard Overnight Delivery, which means you’ll be getting your phone on Monday instead. So today the HTC Touch HD2 goes on sale in Europe and Asia (which means you can import it if you don’t care too much about 3G). Today, Sony officially announced their first Android device and Engadget managed to get a hold of one and do a quick hands. And this phone is seriously the nicest Android device I have seen yet. The new UI is the first UI for Android I’ve seen that can compete with the HTC Hero interface, the first 1Ghz Snapdragon processor in an Android device, huge 4″ OLED screen with nice resolution (480×854), nice 8.1MP camera with an LED flash, and by the way a T-Mobile 3G and AT&T 3G version will BOTH be available. BoyGeniusReport apparently has gotten word that the HTC Passion will be launching on either Black Friday or mid-December (think you guys can be sure we were right about the name and carrier on this one). They said that it and the Curve2 will compete for the Black Friday launch date, whichever is ready first will release then and the other will be released mid-December. What that means for anyone who wants the new CLIQ, you can now officially walk into a T-Mobile store and go get one. What this means for us is that I am heading to the store in a bit to get one to figure out how to root it and do a video 🙂 Expect it soon as it’s rooted.

So EngadgetMobile announced that the Liquid Android phone from Acer will have a 1Ghz snapdragon processor but that it will only be clocked to 768mhz. What gives, right? Well, regardless of the reasoning, I wouldn’t be too concerned. So long as the processor is indeed a 1Ghz Snapdragon just underclocked, we can easily fix that. Once we have root access on the thing (a How To will be on our site soon as it is rooted, of course), we can easily use one of the many overclocking programs floating in the Market for root users to put it back where
