Android Market gets up to 3.1.3, adds Google+ like rating

It was only last month that the Android Market saw an update but Google has more to offer, it would seem.  A newer version of the app, which up the version number to 3.1.3, is now available for download and brings many more significant changes than the last iteration, which was mostly cosmetic. The most important and welcome addition seems to be the ability to add a PIN number to protect your Google Checkout account – this seems like a great improvement compared to before, when your kid could have just picked up your phone and brought a $9.99 app

Samsung Impulse 4G – the first LTE phone on AT&T?

With looks reminiscent of the Samsung Droid Charge, we now have news on what could be the first Android phone to cruise AT&T’s LTE networks.  The device, named the Samsung Impulse 4G, does look similar to Verizon’s Droid Charge with some minor tweaks – we have touch-sensitive Android buttons below the screen compared to the physical home buttons on the Droid Charge – and very well could be a variant of the same device. Nothing else is known of the device right now other than the pictures of the accessories to the device as you see above, leaked to BGR

HP slashes TouchPad price to $99, gains in popularity posthumously

A few short days after announcing the TouchPad’s and WebOS’ demise, HP has begun recouping its losses and disposing of the leftover TouchPad units (which have got to be a lot!) in the aftermath.  Hence, a price drop right down to $99 and guess what, this has actually sparked a new interest in the unfortunate device – after all, would you pass up an opportunity to pick up a device that has features like a dual-core 1.2GHz processor, 1GB of working memory and 16GB of internal memory?  We didn’t think so and that seems to be the general consensus, since
