The update can be flashed on to the device using the PC Companion tool which can be obtained here.  We are not sure if the update can also be downloaded over the air, but we’ll let you know if that’s possible.  By the way, […]

Motorola Defy+ coming to the UK

Announced recently as an update to the original Defy, the Motorola Defy+ is now heading for the UK to be dunked in the Thames and still come out okay.  The strongphone is scratch/water/dust resistant, but packs a lot more punch compared to its predecessor with a 1GHz processor and a better 1700 mAh battery.  The display is made of the now-common Corning Gorilla Glass and measures in at 3.7 inches, which is enough for a device you wouldn’t mind taking for a hike every once in a while. Other features include Android 2.3 Gingerbread OS (with MotoBLUR UI), a 5MP

After months of uncertainty and failed takeoffs, the Thrill 4G 3D smartphone (Optimus 3D for the rest of the world) for AT&T will finally see the light of day this September 4.  At just $99, the price sounds reasonable for a device that does 3D without glasses and can cruise AT&T’s 4G waves with ease. Other specs do fall short compared to recent entrants like the Sensation 4G or the sought-after Galaxy S II – you’ll get a 1GHz processor coupled with 512MB of RAM, and 8GB of built-in storage space which can be taken up to 32GB using its

Samsung Galaxy S II LTE with better specs and 4G support to be showcased at IFA

With Verizon dropping the device in light of Samsung losing out to Apple recently on the lawsuit filed by the latter company, it remains to be seen if the Galaxy S II will ever cross over to the US border.  But this latest announcement from Samsung leads us to believe that the company is still hoping to do so, and to keep things interesting, will be adding in a few more improvements to an already stellar device, if SammyHub is to be believed. The latest version, dubbed the Galaxy S II LTE, will feature both GSM and WCDMA network support

HTC Bliss gets pictures, not so womanly anymore

When we last heard about the Bliss, all we had an idea of what the device might actually look like, but thanks to PocketNow and xda.cn, we have a live picture to look up on.  The device as you can see from the picture above, looks like any other Android device but with a lot more bezel than usual and seems to be clad in a silver cover with a black tint around the unit’s display – needs more of a woman’s touch if it is aimed at women, don’t you think? Anyways, rumors on the specs still remain the
