The MyTouch 4G ROM that was leaked a few days ago is now ported to the Nexus One. The WiFi, Bluetooth, and the cell phone radio is working. However, the camera, video, and the new WiFi calling does not work. The ROM isn’t like most ROMS where you can just flash it and run with it. Japan Gets 3 New Android Phones

Japan gets 3 new android phones on KDDI. The phones are the Toshiba REGZA Phone ISO4, Sharp IS05, and the Pantech SIRIUSa IS06. HTC Announces the HTC Gratia

HTC just announced the HTC Gratia, a  version of the HTC Aria to be sold in Europe.The main difference between the HTC Aria and the Gratia is that the Aria is being sold in USA while the Gratia is being sold in Europe and the Gratia has Android’s 2.2 OS. Yahoo’s video chat app comes early, thanks to myTouch 4G ROM dump

While many of us heard that Yahoo Messenger for Android was working on a video solution, only a few of us thought it would come this soon. Thankfully due to the MyTouch 4G ROM leaked, we now have that ability. Matthewjlian in the XDA-Developer forums has extracted it from the OS and made it available sooner than later.  According to Mathew it works just fine over his desktop. Sprint bringing 4G to Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco by end of 2010

Sprint Nextel and its Clearwire Corp will bring 4G speeds to Los Angeles, New York, and San Francisco by the end of 2010.  To remind everyone, currently sprint and most other carriers do not carry true 4G speeds. As the ITU Radio Communication Sector defines 4G as, an advanced cellular system that “must have target peak data rates of up to approximately 100 Mbps for high mobility such as mobile access”. MyTouch 4G Shows Itself Off In Video Along With A ROM Leak

The MyTouch 4G, formerly known as the MyTouch HD, has a ROM leak and a new video showing off some of the basic features on the phone. The MyTouch 4G video shows off features of the phone like the genius button, the HD camera, video chat/call, and screen share.  Along with that, the video shows the phone having a new home launcher and new icons. Almost everything else in the video is similar to the other MyTouch models. Android 2.1 Update Coming To the Motorola Cliq

The Motorola Cliq will get Android’s 2.1 OS soon. There is no word on the exact date but T-Mobile employees are set to begin training on November 7th. Huawei Ideo Is Rebranded As the T-Mobile Comet

T-Mobile will soon have another Android phone called the Comet. The Comet was formerly known as the Huawei Ideo as seen here. The phone will be out on November 3rd with a 2.8 inch QVGA display, 3.2 MP cam, and a 528 MHZ processor. The T-Mobile Comet is a phone more aim toward new smart phone users. Motorola Fesses Up To A Buggy Froyo Build On the Droid X

Motorola admitted their current build of Froyo for the Droid X is buggy. They admitted to the phone having problems with Stuck on Moto logo after reboot – this was tough on a very few owners. Apple’s Anti-Sexting Software

Apple is continuing its war on sexy content on the iPhone. Apple just granted a patent that prevents people from sending and receiving sexually explicit text messages as known as “sexting.” The patent filled by Apple states “Systems, devices, and methods are provided for enabling a user to control the content of text-based messages sent to or received from an administered device. In some embodiments, a message will be blocked (incoming or outgoing) if the message includes forbidden content. In other embodiments, the objectionable content is removed from the message prior to transmission or as part of the receiving process.
