T-Mobile May Add Pay-Per-Use Data to All Smartphone Accounts, Starting September 15th

T-Mobile is gearing up to implement a new pay-per-data feature for all users who do not currently have an active data plan, according to TMoNews. Customers are expected to receive notification of the change prior to September 15th with additional details included in their September billing. If the leaked screen shot proves to be true, customers will not have the option to block the feature through their device or My T-Mobile. HTC Holiday Caught in the Wild, Set To Launch In AT&T’s 4G LTE Markets

Amazon Tablet In the Works With Aggressive Pricing, Sets Sights on Beating the Competition

According to a recent report from the New York Post, Amazon is pushing to launch their upcoming Android tablet for “hundreds less” then Apple’s iPad 2. Motorola XOOM 4G LTE Upgrade Starts Next Week

Motorola has started to notify its XOOM users that it will begin to upgrade the Android tablet with support for 4G LTE next week. According to Droid-Life, Motorola will begin with business and government customers during a “pilot program” first, and then will continue the update to the general public. BBM Music Launches In Beta As Blackberry’s New Cloud Music Service

Research In Motion (Blackberry) has quietly launched its first cloud music service in beta form today. The service dubbed, BBM Music, will limit users to 50 of their own songs. Netherlands Judge Rules In Apple’s Favor: Samsung Galaxy S, S II, and Ace Sales Halted For Now

It’s a dreary day for Samsung as a Netherlands judge has ruled in Apple’s favor during a patent infringement lawsuit. The judge has prohibited “the marketing of Samsung smartphones Galaxy S, S II and Ace for violation of Apple Inc. EP 2,059,868.”  In the official Dutch press release, the court further explained that the judge has ruled to “ban trading of Samsung smartphones Galaxy S, S II and Ace,” adding that Samsung did not however violate patents with its Galaxy Tab 10.1. Microsoft Requests Import Ban On Several Motorola Smartphones, Claiming Patent Infringement

It would appear that Microsoft tore a page right out of Apple’s ‘litigation happy’ strategy, by filing a suit today against Google’s recently acquired Motorola Mobility. Microsoft presented the International Trade Commission with a claim that Motorola has infringed on seven of their patents, and as a result is requesting an import ban on several Motorola smartphones.
