Google Confirms Galaxy Nexus Volume Fix Is Coming Soon

After numerous user complaints regarding a volume bug with the Samsung Galaxy Nexus, Google has confirmed it is working diligently to roll out a solution. Reportedly the strange issue lies in the flagship phone’s software, not its hardware. Google released a short statement saying that “they are aware of the issue and have developed a fix”. Users should see a bug fix in the form of a simple OTA update soon for the device. We’re not sure on an exact date for the fix, but we’ll keep our eye on the issue and let you know as soon as we do. NVIDIA Shows Off Android 4.0 On the ASUS Transformer Prime Tablet

In a short but sweet video clip, NVIDIA demonstrates Android 4.0, otherwise known as Ice Cream Sandwich, on the ASUS Transformer Prime tablet. While the tablet is expected to hit retail stores in December, developers couldn’t wait to start playing around with all the goodies Ice Cream Sandwich had to offer. Verizon Unveils the Samsung Illusion: Modest Specs With November 23rd Online Launch

Verizon took the wraps off its latest Samsung built smartphone by unveiling the Samsung Illusion today. The smartphone sports modest specs with its 3.5-inch display, a single core 1GHz Hummingbird processor, Android 2.3, a 3 megapixel camera, 2GB of storage, and WiFi and Bluetooth 3.0. As far as availibility and pricing go, Verizon plans to make the Illusion available online starting November 23rd for $79.99 with a 2 year contract. T-Mobile Plans to Offer Samsung Galaxy S II in White, Holiday Shoppers Rejoice

Just in time for the holiday shopping season, T-Mobile has confirmed its plans to offer consumers a white version of the popular Samsung Galaxy S II smartphone. HTC Titan Makes Its Way to AT&T Finally, Stretches the Budget At $200 On Contract

Even though the HTC Titan has been carried around in European pockets for over a month now, the beast of a smartphone has finally made its way stateside, and has found a new home with AT&T. At less than 10mm thick, the sleek Titan boasts the Windows Phone 7.5 (Mango) operating system underneath a huge 4.7-inch display. Developer Creates Third Party Proxy Server for Siri, Creates a WiFi Thermostat Controlled By Only Voice Commands

Now that the source code for Apple’s personal voice controlled assistant has been set out into the wild, hackers everywhere have been diligently at work to help Siri evolve past the iPhone 4S. It appears Siri just may take on a life of her own as a developer has now created his own third party proxy server with only Siri’s potential in mind. Twitter for Windows Phone 7 Provides Multitasking and Bug Fixes

It was an eventful day for Windows Phone 7.5 as Twitter updated their app making it Mango compatible.Twitter uses their software to enable its loyal users to share photos and to broadcast brief status messages to their followers.  The updated Twitter app for Mango adds multitasking, support for the Japanese language, and various bug fixes. Google Rolling Out Music Service to Select Android Devices and Google TV

Making good on their promised timeline, Google has started to roll out its Google Music Service to a wider audience by integrating with the Android Market. Reportedly, the updated music app is now working for the HTC EVO 3D, HTC Sensation, HTC Inspire 4G, Nexus S 4G, and the Droid Bionic. Additionally, the Google Music app is now available for Google TV, which enables users to stream their music collection from the cloud to their HDTV and home theater system. Samsung Galaxy S II and LG Optimus 3D Get In On the Ice Cream Sandwich Action

Thanks to the hardworking hacker community, we can now enjoy the sweetness of Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) on the Samsung Galaxy S II and the LG Optimus 3D. The best part was that we didn’t have to wait long, as Google just released the source code for Android 4.0 four short days ago.  Exciting as this sounds, the ICS port is still very much in an alpha stage. Bluetooth, WiFi and other radios aren’t functioning properly yet, but we’re betting we’ll see these issues fixed in the near future as additional releases make their way out into the wild. New Lithium-ion Technology Claims Week Long Battery Charge For Smartphones

According to a new report by BBC, engineers at Northwestern University are working on lithium-ion batteries that house the potential to charge a wireless device 10 times faster, and hold a charge 10 times longer than current batteries found in today’s market. AT&T Black Friday Deals Offer Up a Variety List of Smartphones for Just a Penny
