Sony has extended its AOSP efforts to a new tablet following the launch of Android Open Source Project programs for both the Xperia S and Xperia Z. Sony took to its official Developer World blog to confirm that it has added the Xperia Tablet Z to its AOSP for Xperia project, which means that it’ll be releasing binaries, kernel sources and other information related to the device in order to allow custom ROM developers to tweak the Tablet Z and modify it to their needs. We’ve all heard the rumors and now know that Google has indeed been working on its own music-streaming service. Using the first day of Google I/O to introduce it to the world, the service is dubbed Google Play Music All Access and focuses on personalized recommendations through a feature called the so-called Explore. Microsoft’s Joe Belfiore took to Twitter to announce that the BBC iPlayer would be headed to Windows Phone 8, and it looks like that day has finally arrived. Good news for all you Pinterest addicts, as the company released an update to its Android and iOS apps today that bring some useful desktop features to your smartphone. According to reports, Android 4.2.2 With Sense 5.1 has leaked out into the wild for the HTC Butterfly.
