T-Mobile’s UNCarrier “Phase 2” Plan Gets Delayed to July 14th

According to TMoNews, the launch of T-Mobile’s UNcarrier “Phase 2” plan has been delayed to July 14th. There’s also a  “Phase 3″ in the works, however, details are also unknown. One of the rumored services launching with Phase 2 will be a “new” rate plan that is postpaid, with no credit check. The rates will be the same as what’s now offered and will be marketed toward customers who prefer not to have their credit run.  Apparently,  EIP will be offered with this plan and customers will buy phones outright. Jolla,Finland’s Newest Smartphone Company, Lands Its First Mobile Carrier

Jolla, the new Finnish-based smartphone company that was born out of Nokia, just landed its first mobile phone carrier. DNA is the third largest smartphone carrier in Finland and has just confirmed that it would be the first carrier to sell Jolla’s flagship smartphone. According to CEO Tom Pienimaki, Jolla plans to start production of its flagship phone by the end of this year and aims at shipping out pre-orders by the end of the year. Currently, 118 countries have shown interest in the Jolla smartphone but Jolla remains focused on placing its main efforts on the European and Chinese markets.

Google+ Gets Synced Notification System, Rolling Out to Android and Web Users Now

In an announcement today Google confirmed that it is updating the notification system for Google+. The rollout will start with Android, the web, and will follow up with iOS. The revamped system provides synced notifications across all of your devices, which streamline the overall user experience. Rumor: Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie Headed For An October Launch

It’s been awhile since we last heard of a Key Lime Pie flavored rumor, so this one caught our attention thanks to a report from VR-Zone. Google To Shut Down Mobile Ad Aggregator AdWhirl, Encourages Developers to Use AdMob Mediation

Google announced to developers today that it would be shutting down AdWhirl, a platform that allows app developers to switch between different ad networks on the fly. For those of you not familiar with AdWhirl, it was a part of AdMob, acquired by the mobile ad network just months before AdMob was bought by Google for $750 million.
